We're pleased to announce that the Tor Project is hosting students this summer as part of Google Summer of Code and Outreachy, thanks to support from DIAL Open Source Center.
As technology shapes many parts of our lives, we believe it needs to be built in a way that makes the world a better place. For this, we need everybody’s voice and perspective when making technical and political decisions at Tor.
We’ve got projects covering almost every part of Tor, from creating a Tor client in Python to stripping metadata from file uploads in Tor Browser. If none of our projects jump out at you -- get in touch with us and propose your own! If your project idea is accepted, we’ll mentor you and help bring it to life.
The Tor Project has partnered with the Outreachy internship program, and we’ve got two internship slots for members of groups traditionally underrepresented in technology.
Tor is a labor of love, built by a small group of committed individuals, but we’re lucky to have the support of a dedicated volunteer base who help us make Tor the strongest anonymity tool out there.
